At Arballo Entertainment, our mission is simple yet powerful: to create compelling visual stories that connect people, preserve history, and inspire action. We are the proud producers of the acclaimed feature documentaries Scramble the Seawolves and The Mobile Riverine Force, both narrated by Mike Rowe and directed, produced, and edited by award-winning filmmaker Jeff Arballo. Our work gives voice to the forgotten, shines light on American heroes, and brings powerful, often-overlooked stories to life with emotion, authenticity, and cinematic force. Our team of directors, producers, cinematographers, editors, and writers brings over 25 years of experience in film, television, documentaries, and professional sports action—from Emmy-winning shows to global webcasts and world championship surf tours. Founder Jeff Arballo, a former teacher, DJ, club promoter, athletic director, and championship-winning coach, has worked the camera on the World Surf League and ISA Surf Tour for more than a decade. He was the cinematographer on an Emmy-winning show, directed the first live webcast in China, and has helmed award-winning projects across genres. Jeff’s feature documentary Scramble the Seawolves, which he directed, shot, edited, and co-wrote, earned a Telly Award in 2020 and swept top honors at San Diego Film Week, winning Best Feature and Audience Choice in 2019. The film premiered to a standing ovation on the flight deck of the USS Midway before 1,100 guests and went on to air on KPBS, and through NETA, was broadcast on over 350 PBS stations in 48 states. Alongside producer Shannon Arballo, the film went on to screen at multiple naval bases, the Post Naval Graduate School, and was featured at the GI Film Festival and Branson Film Festival during Veterans Week. Our latest documentary THE MOBILE RIVERINE FORCE has also won a TELLY award. and is currently being screened across the country in 2026.

Jeff Arballo’s entrepreneurial journey began at just 17 years old, when he and his two brothers founded Dance Craze III, a DJ company that quickly became the largest in their region. Building on that early success, Jeff launched a solo career, performing at some of the most prominent clubs in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.

After graduating from college, Jeff relocated to San Diego, where he continued to establish himself as a sought-after DJ, performing at venues including Club Tronix, After Dark, Black Angus, and others. His reputation led him to collaborate with top promoters throughout San Diego and Los Angeles, Including, Polka Dot Production, John and Dean, and he played a key role in the launch of several nightlife destinations.

Jeff was involved in one of downtown San Diego’s earliest nightclubs, Sybil’s Down Under, an Australian-owned club and restaurant, and went on to help open multiple clubs by serving as the featured DJ for their grand openings. Jeff Also Was the DJ on the main stage for the first Street Scene in Downtown San Diego. Throughout his career, he DJed and promoted at many of San Diego’s most well-known venues, including Taxi in La Jolla, Cabo Cabo in downtown San Diego, The Bitter End, B Street, E Street Alley, Neiman’s in Carlsbad, and Fast Freddie’s in Cardiff, where he also served as club manager. His experience extended to major California nightlife destinations, including Club Velvet, one of the largest clubs in the state.

Jeff’s career also intersected with major action-sports culture when he DJed the first X Games Luge event in Oceanside, California, where he met legendary biker “Sherlock.”

These early experiences in entertainment, promotion, and live event production ultimately led Jeff to found Arballo Entertainment, where he transitioned his creative vision and business acumen into film and media production.
